The Joint Assault Brigade Liut of the National Police of Ukraine recently received Spanish armored vehicles Pegaso BMR M-600, according to a military channel on Telegram.
The images show the vehicles equipped with a drone protection structure, offering full 360-degree coverage, as well as hatches for crew and troop access.
Although it is not entirely clear which exact model was sent, there are indications that it is the BMR-600 VRAC version, specialized in chemical reconnaissance and previously seen in the conflict.
The Pegaso BMR M-600 is a 6×6 wheeled armored vehicle, developed in Spain in the 1970s and still in use by the Spanish Army, as well as exported to several countries. It is amphibious and can be configured for different roles, carrying up to 11 soldiers with a crew of two. The driver sits at the front left, while the engine is on the right, and troops enter from the rear via a ramp with integrated doors, also featuring roof hatches for emergency or weapon use.
Equipped with a 310-horsepower diesel engine, the BMR-600 can reach up to 100 km/h on land and can move through water using wheel propulsion, with some versions having water jets to increase aquatic speed.
In January 2024, Spain had already sent medical versions of this vehicle to Ukraine, and although there is no official confirmation, it is likely that troop transport versions were also included in the recent aid shipments.
